Booking Rules
Court Bookings
- Squash Courts
- Available to Squash, Full, Combined Rackets and Family and Over 65 members: 7 days prior.
- Peak times are Monday - Friday from 4.45 pm onwards (all other times are off-peak).
- Tennis Courts
- Available to Tennis, Full, Combined Rackets and Family and Over 65 members: 7 days prior.
- Midweek Tennis members may only use the tennis courts Monday - Friday.
- Weekend Tennis members may only use the tennis courts Saturday - Sunday.
- Badminton
- Available to Badminton, Full, Combined Rackets and Family and Over 65 members: 14 days prior.
- All other members: 7 days prior.
- When booking the maximum number of days in advance, bookings will be available from 10 am onwards.
- For all courts, members should select their playing partners/opponents' names to show on the booking sheets.
- If the courts are booked for the day/time you want to play, you can set up a Cancelled Court Alert to be notified if a court becomes available.
Booking Fees
- Each Member has an account within MyCourts and must have credit on their account in order to book a court.
- You can purchase credit (£10 minimum) with any credit/debit card when logged into this website.
- Your transaction will be processed by Stripe. Click here to Buy Credit.
- Members can share booking fees by using the facility to Transfer Credit.
- On the day of playing, the system will automatically send an email to invite playing partners/opponents to use this facility to share the booking fees paid by the member who booked the court.
- The fee for the court/time is shown on the booking sheets.
- Tennis Courts
- £2 per hour (if booked in advance) during day-light times (no flood-lights)
- No charge if booked on the day
- £6 per hour with floodlights when sunset occurs before booking session end time
- Squash Courts
- Off-Peak: £5 per 45 minutes.
- Peak: £6 per 45 minutes.
- Table Tennis
- Members with squash court booking rights must book a squash court and select "Table Tennis £2" as the playing partner opponent in order to pay the £2 table tennis fee.
- Other members without court booking rights, e.g. Social, must book via Reception in order to book table tennis.
- The squash court booking fee will be applied as well as the £2
- Badminton
- The badminton court may be booked by any club member when it’s not otherwise booked. A fee of £7 will be charged. Note if playing non-members, then guest’s fees will be applied.
- Classes
- Where a Class (Gym, fitness or sporting) is booked via MyCourts the fee, where applicable is charged automatically.
- Where a class is open to non-members a guest fee may be charged
- Tennis Courts
Guest Fees
- When playing a non-member, members MUST:
- Select "GUEST" as the playing partner/opponent to show on the booking sheet.
- The system will automatically charge the Guest Fee to your booking system account by adding the Guest Fee to the booking fee already paid.
- If you're no longer playing a Guest, you can change your playing partner/opponent to a member, and the court fee will automatically revert to the normal rate (and your account will be credited).
- This can be done when you book the court or any time before playing.
- Guests may only play with a member.
- The member must ensure the guest signs the Visitor's Book.
- The Committee may assume a member is playing a guest if no other partner/opponent has been selected and shown on the booking sheets. In this case, the Committee may charge the Guest Fee to the members booking system account.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
- When unable to use a reserved court or class, members should cancel as soon as possible so that others may use the court.
- The booking fees are automatically refunded as system credit when the booking is cancelled more than 48 hours prior to start time.
- There is no refund within 48 hours prior to start time, unless the same court and start time is re-booked -- in this case the booking fee is automatically refunded.
