Land Sale Update and Club Quiz Night

Land Sale Update

We updated you in April this year with the latest information regarding progress on the land sale. As we explained, the progress has been slow and difficult with the main obstacle being the granting of planning permission and the S106 agreement.

We are pleased to provide you however, with a little more positive news.

Yesterday our solicitors, Messrs Collier Bristow, informed us that the S106 agreement duly signed by Concept Developments and ourselves several weeks ago has finally been accepted and signed by the Local Authority.

Conditional Planning Approval having already been granted, we now only await the council to formally approve planning permission. There is then a two month legal wait period, known as Judicial Review before the sale can be completed.

Although this will inevitably delay matters for a short period it is anticipated that we can look forward to Concept Developments exercising the option agreement in July and completing just two weeks later.

Club Quiz Night

Last evening saw a superb quiz night take place. There were 12 teams entered and food was available from the kitchen.

Our hosts for the evening were Richard Anderson and Andy Laver who were absolutely excellent and we thank them for a great evening made possible by all the work and preparation they put into this event..

Andy and Scarlett were our duty bar staff and kept us all refreshed and more importantly smiling. In the kitchen Linda slaved for ages preparing food and nobody knows quite how she managed to prepare so many dishes in so short a time.

Lastly a massive thank you for all our members who came along to support the event and who all helped clear up the hall at the end of the evening.

Nice to see so many people smiling and having fun.
